Valsartan
Valsartan is prescribed to help keep blood pressure under control. This medication, which may be prescribed in conjunction with other blood pressure medications, works by inhibiting the production of an enzyme that causes blood vessels to narrow. By widening the blood vessels, this medication lowers blood pressure.
Side Effects/Warnings
This medication can be dangerous or fatal to developing fetuses. Don’t take it if you are currently pregnant and contact your doctor immediately if you test positive for pregnancy.
Your blood pressure may drop too low, especially if you are also taking other blood pressure medications. Contact your doctor if you feel dizzy or drowsy after taking this medication.
