Trovafloxacin
Trovafloxacin is administered in order to combat serious infections. It is usually used only in cases where a patient might otherwise die or have to have a limb amputated. The medication is taken orally for up to 14 days.
Side Effects/Warnings
This medication can cause serious liver problems. The first few doses should be taken in a hospital setting so that patients can be monitored for liver problems. Contact your doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Extreme fatigue
- Brown urine
- Tarry black stools
- Severe stomach pain
- Loss of appetite
- Jaundice
- Nausea and vomiting
