Moricizine
Moricizine is an anti-arrhythmic drug; it helps regulate the heartbeat in people who have irregular or unusual heart beat patterns for a variety of reasons. This medication works by blocking some electrical signals to the heart so that the heart beats steadily rather than beating irregularly.
Side Effects/Warnings
This medication can make arrhythmias worse in some patients. This can lead to fatal cardiac arrest or to strokes. Patients who have a history of heart disease should not take this medication. In addition, you should call 911 if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Pounding heart
- Swelling of the ankles or feet
- Chest pain
- Difficulty breathing
