Methoxsalen (Injection)
Methoxsalen is used in the treatment of psoriasis. It is injected into the body in order to control severe psoriasis that has not responded to other types of treatment. It is often used in conjunction with UV light to treat this skin disease and may also be used to treat other skin conditions.
Side Effects/Warnings
This medication can cause skin cancer. It should not be used unless all other treatment options have been exhausted and should only be used while under the supervision of a doctor who is familiar with skin cancer and treatments for skin cancer.
There is a risk of cataracts developing while taking this medication. Contact your doctor immediately if you have difficulty seeing, blurred vision or other vision problems.
