Lisinopril
Lisonopril is prescribed to help control high blood pressure and protect heart health. This medication works by inhibiting the production of an enzyme that causes blood vessels to become narrower. As a result of taking the medication, the blood vessels dilate and blood flows more easily through the body.
Side Effects/Warnings
This medication is fatal to developing fetuses. Women should use contraception and take regular pregnancy tests while on Lisinopril. They should switch to a different type of blood pressure medication if they become pregnant.
This medication can result in low blood pressure. Get immediate medical attention and consult your doctor if you feel extremely dizzy or drowsy while on this medication.
