Lisonopril is prescribed to help control high blood pressure and protect heart health. This medication works by inhibiting the production of an enzyme that causes blood vessels to become narrower. Side Effects/Warnings

This medication is fatal to developing fetuses. Women should use contraception and take regular pregnancy tests while on Lisinopril. They should switch to a different type of blood pressure medication if they become pregnant.
