Lindane

Lindane is a skin lotion and shampoo that is used to kill lice and other mites that can infect the skin and head. This medication does not prevent infestation by mites or lice in healthy people.

Side Effects/Warnings

This medication causes serious side effects and should only be used if less aggressive treatments have failed to rid the patient of lice or mites. This medication can cause fatal seizures. Seizures are more likely in some classes of patients.
