Ethacrynate Sodium

Since this medication is a diuretic, patients risk losing too much fluid while they are on it. If taken too often or in too large a dose, the medication can cause patients to eliminate so much fluid that they become dehydrated. Extreme thirst, lightheadness and dry mouth are symptoms of dehydration. Patients should get emergency medical assistance if they are dehydrated and consult their doctors as soon as possible.
