Ambrisentan is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, or PAH. This medication works by lowering the blood pressure in your lungs and preventing your arteries from becoming thicker. As a result, patients with PAH find it easier to breathe and are able to exercise and carry out their daily activities.
