Warnings/Side Effects
Some people develop hypersensitivity as a result of taking this drug. Hypersensitivity is characterized by the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Rash
- Gastrointenstinal problems (nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting)
- Respiratory problems such as cough or excessive phlegm
People taking this medication should call their doctors if they have two or more of these symptoms. It’s important that they not continue to take the drug if they have hypersensitivity as it can be fatal.
